About Strawberry Park Homes For Sale

Although a trip into town is a short five minute drive, the feel of the area is quite unique. Rarely will anyone find a setting with such natural beauty and only be five minutes from a downtown area as unique as Steamboat Springs, or ten minutes to one of the most popular ski resorts in the world.

Soda Creek and Routt County Road 36 parallel each other in the center of the valley, with the latter terminating at the famous Strawberry Park Hot Springs. Equestrian estates make up a majority of the homes on both sides of Soda Creek on the valley floor.

As the elevation rises, more mountain homes and cabins can be found in aspen and pine forests.

The pavement ends for RCR 36 at the entrance to Soda Creek Highlands, the largest subdivision in the area. However, the pavement continues throughout the subdivision, making that neighborhood totally blacktop accessible (rare for living in such an alpine setting).

Soda Creek Highland homes range in size from 1,000 to over 6,000 square feet and sit on three to ten acre lots. Some have horse facilities and either come with a close-in setting or one that has views to the ski area and Flattop Mountains.

Several homes and cabins can be found at the top of RCR 36 near the Hot Springs, where many are ‘offgrid’ and dependent upon solar, wind and propane for energy and heat production.

One of the most popular recreation areas in Northwest Colorado is Buffalo Pass. The road to “Buff Pass” (Routt County Road 38) begins in Strawberry Park, creating a wealth of mountain recreation handy to Strawberry Park residents. This includes mountain biking, hiking, camping, fishing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, cross country and snowcat/backcountry skiing. During the summer, automobile drivers can take RCR 38 over the top of the 10,180 foot pass and eventually drop down to the town of Walden, CO on the east side.

Although very residential in nature, Strawberry Park is home to Strawberry Park Elementary School, Steamboat Springs Middle School, Perry Mansfield Performing Arts School and Camp, The Lowell Whiteman School and, or course, the Strawberry Park Hot Springs.

With anything from a quaint mountain cabin relying on self dependence of the owner for utility services, to sprawling homes with every convenience known to man, Strawberry Park has an abode for everyone and within easy commute to the best the Steamboat area has to offer.
