Douglas Labor - GRI, RRP, ABR, ABRM, CEBA, Owner/Broker Doug Labor is the owner and broker of Buyer's Resource Real Estate. He brings with him over 20 years of resort real estate experience, working for some of the largest resort operators in North America, including positions as Director of Real Estate for Copper Mountain (CO) and Hidden Valley (PA), Vice President for The Big Mountain Resort (MT) and Director of Real Estate for American Skiing Company's Steamboat operations. He has managed over $190,000,000 of real estate transactions, was real estate editor for Snow Country Magazine, and also owns Resort Realty & Consulting, Inc. Doug earned his Graduate, Realtor Institute (GRI) designation in 1989 and the American Resort Development Association’s Registered Resort Professional (RRP) designation in 1996. To enhance his service to buyers, he furthered his education and earned the highly coveted Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) and Accredited Buyer Representative Manager (ABRM) designations in 2006. Doug is a founding member of the Colorado Exclusive Buyer Agents Association and served as its President from 2002 - 2004. He served as Mountain Director for the National Association of Exclusive Buyer Agents, was the 2005 President of the Steamboat Springs Board of REALTORS, and served for 2 years as a Director of the Colorado Association of REALTORS. In 2005 he was named the Steamboat Springs REALTOR of the Year. Originally from Grove City, PA, he graduated from Slippery Rock University (PA) earning a Bachelor of Arts degree, with a concentration in Rural and Urban Planning. While attending SRU, he was elected captain of his football team, and also lettered in track and field. He was a nationally ranked javelin thrower. Doug's wife, Mary, also works at Buyer’s Resource, and they have three children, Kelly, Nick and Madeline. Because his children are most interested in soccer, he can be found in his free time coaching or watching their games, playing softball, skiing or in the weeds of Haymaker Golf Course searching for his last tee shot!
